F2P Open-World RPG Ananta Abandons Gacha Mechanics, Focuses on Cosmetic Sales

Ananta, an upcoming free-to-play RPG, won't implement gacha mechanics, instead offering cosmetic and furniture purchases.

In the latest development regarding the upcoming Ananta, a new free-to-play RPG, it has been confirmed that the game will not feature a character-based gacha system, which had been a concern for many players. Instead, the game will focus on optional purchases for cosmetics and furniture.

“Surprisingly, this game does not have what is known as a ‘character gacha’, and basically, you can get all of the playable characters just by playing the game. Seriously?! … So, what are the in-game elements that require payment? Mainly the parts that allow players to customize their clothes, vehicles, homes, and more to their liking.” This sentiment highlights a significant shift from typical monetization strategies seen in similar titles.

This revelation comes from reports by Famitsu and Automaton, shedding light on the game’s unexpected approach that distinguishes it from others in the genre.

Notably, players can look forward to a mix that draws inspiration from popular games like Spider-Man, GTA, and Sifu, creating an exciting new experience in the RPG landscape.

As of now, Ananta does not have an official release date, but players can pre-register on the game’s official site.
