The Sims 4 developers recently hosted a livestream event showcasing numerous gameplay features coming with the Adventure Awaits expansion pack. This new pack has been generating excitement ever since its announcement at the beginning of September, following an initial roadmap reveal and an extensive blog post.

After the reveal trailer, players were shown a detailed gameplay trailer that explored the various features of Adventure Awaits. The livestream also marked the beginning of the Forever Friends event, created to promote the new pack and engage players by offering free gifts.

Major Features Revealed

During the livestream, players expressed eagerness for more details regarding features, such as custom venues and imaginary friends. On September 25, the presentation offered deep insights into the new content. Key topics included:

• Imaginary Friends: A nostalgic feature returning from The Sims 3, allowing children to create imaginary friends from their plush toys. Each friend possesses unique traits and will require specific skills to become ‘real’.
• Modular Custom Venues: Players can now design personalized event venues using modular components like slides and playground elements, enhancing creativity in gameplay.
• Papercraft Skill: New crafting opportunities where players can create paper mache and origami items, which can be used for home decoration or gifted to others.

The livestream lasted about 90 minutes, frequently switching between features to entice players to explore what else the Adventure Awaits expansion will offer upon its release on October 2.
