Microsoft Updates Xbox Game Pass September 30 Removals

Microsoft has announced changes to the list of Xbox Game Pass titles set to leave on September 30, reducing the number of removals.

In a significant update, Microsoft has modified its Xbox Game Pass removals schedule, indicating that the number of titles leaving the service on September 30 is less than previously forecasted. Just three games will depart the service by the end of the month.

This update follows a prior announcement made on September 16, which originally listed four games for removal: Ninja Gaiden Sigma, Ninja Gaiden Sigma 2, Ninja Gaiden 3 Razor’s Edge, and Terra Invicta. However, Microsoft later clarified that only the three Ninja Gaiden games will be removed from the service. Terra Invicta, developed by Pavonis Interactive, will not be leaving as initially stated.

Updated List of Xbox Game Pass September 30 Removals

Game Added How Long To Beat
Ninja Gaiden Sigma Jun 2022 13–30 hours
Ninja Gaiden Sigma 2 Jun 2022 11–87 hours
Ninja Gaiden 3 Razor’s Edge Jun 2022 7–34 hours

Given the unusual nature of revising a list of removals, it is unclear whether a new agreement allowed Terra Invicta to remain, or if its removal is simply postponed.
