Updates on Final Fantasy 14 Content for Monster Hunter Wilds Announced
Capcom has detailed the incoming Title Update 3 for Monster Hunter Wilds, featuring a collaboration event with Final Fantasy 14, including new quests and rewards.
During the Tokyo Game Show 2025, Monster Hunter Wilds announced that Title Update 3, featuring the crossover event with Final Fantasy 14, is scheduled to launch on September 29. Additionally, it has been teased that the Elder Dragon Gogmazios will be making a comeback in Title Update 4 in December.
The Monster Hunter Wilds segment of the Final Fantasy 14 crossover will let players hunt Omega Planetes, a formidable foe based on one of the Final Fantasy series’ notorious superbosses. The attacks of Omega Planetes will mirror those of its Final Fantasy 14 version, incorporating Delta Attack and various projectiles. Meanwhile, Final Fantasy 14 participants will engage in battles with Guardian Arkveld, starting early October. FF14 players can earn weapons inspired by Guardian Arkveld along with other cosmetic items once the event launches.
Additional Information on Title Update 3
More than a month since the FF14 crossover got announced at Gamescom, Monster Hunter Wilds fans will soon be able to experience new content. Capcom’s spotlight event at the Tokyo Game Show revealed that Title Update 3 will include the Final Fantasy 14 collaboration, and players are advised to download a patch available on the same day. To encounter Omega Planetes, players need to achieve Hunter Rank 41 or higher and complete the main mission titled “What Lies Ahead.”
Rewards for this update consist of the Dark Knight’s weapons and armor, as well as the Soul of the Pictomancer item. Equipping the Bale Armor α set will allow players to invoke The Blackest Night, which sacrifices some health for protection. The Shadowbringer great sword provides a potent weapon skill. Furthermore, players can use the Soul of the Pictomancer to unleash various spells with a paintbrush.
The collaboration rewards feature a Morbol Seedling minion and a Chocobo-themed skin for the Seikret.
What’s Next?

Additionally, a teaser was provided about the impending comeback of Gogmazios, a volcanic Elder Dragon, as part of December’s Title Update 4. Gogmazios made its debut in Monster Hunter 4 Ultimate on the 3DS, a title celebrated for its combat mechanics.
