Kojima revealed that the main character’s casting faced delays, thanks to ongoing SAG-AFTRA strikes, but confirmed that Don Lee (known for roles in Eternals and Train to Busan), Charlee Fraser from Furiosa: A Mad Max Saga, and Minami Hamabe, who starred in Godzilla Minus One, will be part of the film.
“[Physint] will be both a game and a movie at the same time,” said Kojima in February 2024. He expects the title to blend gameplay with cinematic experiences seamlessly, aiming to blur the lines between interactive and passive media.
The developmental shift towards this project has re-energized fans eager for a new Kojima game, especially since its release is anticipated within the next six years.
