Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 is set to make significant enhancements in the weapon camo system. Treyarch Studios has revealed that fewer headshots will now be required to unlock military camos, improving the overall experience for players.
According to the developers, players will only need five headshots to unlock the first camo for each weapon, with subsequent camos requiring ten headshots each, totaling eighty for all nine military camos.
This change contrasts sharply with the previous installment, Call of Duty: Black Ops 6, where players faced arduous grinding with 100 headshots needed for each gun before they could even consider special and mastery camos.
In addition, some weapons will shift away from requiring headshots. Shotguns will demand Point Blank Kills, and Sniper Rifles will require One Shot Kills. Furthermore, players can now earn camos in Campaign mode across various game types including Campaign, Multiplayer, Zombies, and also in Call of Duty: Warzone starting from Season 1.
On September 22, Activision is expected to release the multiplayer trailer along with extensive details about new weapons, maps, and modes featured in Black Ops 7. The open beta will begin on October 5, with early access for pre-orders starting on October 2.
