World of Warcraft is officially entering its alpha testing period for Midnight on October 2. This expansion’s testing will occur across five different phases, allowing fans to gain early access to new zones, narratives, and other features.
During Gamescom, Blizzard revealed Midnight, the second expansion of the Worldsoul Saga. Anticipated to launch in the first half of 2026, players will journey to Quel’thalas to counter the dark maneuvers of Xal’atath, experiencing revamped areas such as Eversong Woods, Silvermoon City, and Zul’Aman, as well as fresh regions like Harandar and the Voidstorm.
World of Warcraft Closed Alpha Begins October 2
As World of Warcraft gears up for Midnight, the alpha test commences on October 2 and is scheduled to unfold over five weeks. Each week will introduce new content, featuring distinct Midnight zones, dungeons, and quests. By the final week, participants can expect to have access to all the alpha content at once.
Phases of the Alpha Testing:
- Phase 1 (October 2–8): Eversong Woods, Arator campaign, and more.
- Phase 2 (October 9–15): Zul’Aman.
- Phase 3 (October 16–22): Harandar, Eversong Woods.
- Phase 4 (October 23–29): Voidstorm.
- Phase 5 (October 30-November 5): All previous content available.
While the alpha data will be shared publicly, access will be limited to Blizzard’s friends, family, press, and select community members. Interested participants should monitor their emails and Battle.net accounts for potential invitations. If Blizzard stays on track, the alpha will wrap up at the start of November, paving the way for beta testing. Fans can sign up for beta access on the official WoW website or secure their spot by pre-purchasing the World of Warcraft: Midnight Epic Edition.
