Pokemon GO: Upcoming Harvest Festival Set to Showcase New Pokemon and Rewards

The Harvest Festival event for Pokemon GO is returning with new Pokemon and various rewards for players.

On September 22, Pokemon GO announced the return of the Harvest Festival event, showcasing the debut of Dipplin and Hydrapple. This event will take place from October 10 to 16, giving players nearly a week to earn rewards and encounter Applin, Smoliv, and Pumpkaboo.

Dipplin

Dipplin, known as the Candy Apple Pokemon, first appeared in Pokemon Scarlet and Violet’s first expansion, The Teal Mask. It is the third evolution of Applin, following Flapple and Appletun. Applin evolves into Dipplin when given a Syrupy Apple, available at an apple stall in Kitakami. To evolve Dipplin into Hydrapple, it must level up while knowing the move Dragon Cheer, which can be taught using TM226 obtained from defeating Drayton in the Indigo Disk DLC.

After the Dynamax Duraladon event ends on October 7, players will have more new features to look forward to. The upcoming Harvest Festival event marks the arrival of the aforementioned Pokemon in Pokemon GO. Evolving an Applin into a Dipplin requires 200 Applin Candy and 20 Syrupy Apples.

Players can encounter Dipplin and Hydrapple by tapping PokeStops with a Mossy Lure Module, along with obtaining Sweet Apples, Tart Apples, and the chance to meet Applin. Using a Pinap Berry or Silver Pinap Berry doubles the Candy received upon capturing Wild Pokemon. Additionally, Shiny Smoliv and Shiny Pumpkaboo will have a higher encounter rate during the Harvest Festival.

The introduction of Dipplin and Hydrapple is part of Pokemon GO’s Tales of Transformation Special Research event, which is available until December 2. A Paid Timed Research ticket can be purchased for $4.99 during the event. This ticket grants longer durations for Mossy Lure Modules and increases the likelihood of receiving Berries from PokeStops. Completing tasks will result in more chances to encounter Applin, as well as additional Mossy Lure Modules and Silver Pinap Berries.

Lure Module Rewards

The Harvest Festival coincides with the October 12 Pokemon GO Community Day, part of Season 20’s myriad events. Trainers are poised to expand their collections with new seasonal additions. Here are the event details:
