In a recent update, Wartales unveiled its latest DLC focused on fief management—a feature highly sought after by its community. Players can now own and develop fiefs, transforming a decrepit castle and a small piece of land into a fortified settlement.

Resources collected during explorations contribute to the growth of the fief, enabling players to specialize and adapt it to various roles, such as defensive strongholds or thriving trade ports.

“Since the early days of Wartales’ early access, one request has been a constant from the community: owning and managing a fief,” mentioned Shiro Games in a recent Steam post. “With our upcoming DLC, Contract: The Fief, we're finally bringing that vision to life.”

The DLC is set to be released on September 25, and while pricing hasn’t been finalized, it’s expected to be similar to other DLCs priced around $13 (£11).
