Konami appears to be seeking fan feedback regarding the future of the Metal Gear franchise. A recently revealed survey indicates that after the release of Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater, there could be more remakes in the pipeline.
Last month, Konami launched Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater, a remake of the renowned 2004 title Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater. Despite facing some technical criticisms, the game achieved one million sales on its launch day, demonstrating a strong interest for contemporary adaptations of Hideo Kojima’s legendary stealth action series. Following the Snake Eater remake, the focus has turned towards Konami’s future plans.
Fan Input Requested on Future Metal Gear Remakes
Next week, Konami’s Tokyo Game Show 2025 lineup will feature a livestream for the new Fox Hunt multiplayer mode in the Snake Eater remake. After this event, a survey will be distributed to gather viewer opinions. A Twitter user known as Metal Gear Network obtained some of the survey questions, revealing one question that asks participants to select from a list of Metal Gear titles they would like to see remade.
Potential Metal Gear Games for Remake
The survey includes titles such as:
- Metal Gear
- Metal Gear 2: Solid Snake
- Metal Gear Solid
- Metal Gear Solid 2: Sons of Liberty
- Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots
- Metal Gear Solid: Peace Walker
- Metal Gear Solid 5: Ground Zeroes
- Metal Gear Solid 5: The Phantom Pain
Interestingly, Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots makes an appearance, despite being tied to the PS3 for 17 years. Notably, titles like Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance and the poorly received Metal Gear Survive are not part of the list, highlighting the series’ enduring legacy and fans’ interest in remakes.
