The long-awaited Bop It! adaptation arrives as a video game

Bop It! has transformed from a physical game into a digital experience, featuring classic gameplay and new modes.

Videogames are fantastic, but wouldn’t it be even better if there was more bopping involved? Not just bopping, but twisting and pulling too, ideally while being guided by a loud voice on when to do each action?

Your specific wishes are finally fulfilled, as nearly 30 years after the iconic Bop It! debuted—a game that demands its users perform certain actions in a specific order—it’s now a video game. It’s officially titled Bop It! The Video Game and can be found on Steam.

Check out the trailer below, showcasing the game’s exciting features.

The Steam page promises “Hot Bop It! Action!” for one or two players (local co-op) along with a global leaderboard, allowing you to see how you compare against fellow players. The game features both classic and an “EXTREME” mode where players can also be prompted to “Spin it!” and “Flick it!” as the game evolves further.

Despite never having played the original Bop It! myself, it seems that I’ve come to know it thoroughly, perhaps through dreams or strange visions. Now I have the chance to experience the thrill of bopping, twisting, and pulling in this virtual rendition. Good luck to me, as the Steam page mentions that the game levels are endless: as long as players can continue, the game will carry on, leading to potentially eternal bopping!
