The award-winning action RPG Hades is now part of Xbox Game Pass. Making its debut this September, it is the eighth game added to the service this month and the 116th overall for 2025. Developed by Supergiant Games, Hades has players take on the role of Zagreus, the son of the Greek underworld god, in a quest to escape from his realm, encountering formidable challenges each time.

Hades Returns to Xbox Game Pass After 3 Years

Originally brought to the service in August 2021, Hades left after just over a year. Its recent return opens up the possibility that it might be available until September 2026, depending on the licensing agreement between Supergiant and Microsoft.

As of now, the game boasts an impressive ‘Mighty’ rating on OpenCritic with a score of 94 and a 99% recommendation rate from critics. Furthermore, over 132,000 players on Steam have given it an ‘Overwhelmingly Positive’ rating. Its addition to the Game Pass lineup promises to significantly enhance the offerings available to subscribers.

Upcoming Titles on Xbox Game Pass

In addition to Hades, five more titles are expected to be added to Xbox Game Pass by the end of September 2025, including Endless Legend 2 and Peppa Pig: World Adventures.
