Tracer has been disabled in Overwatch 2’s Stadium mode due to a glitch involving her Recall ability. This glitch allowed her to return to a previous state and gain benefits from items after selling them, resulting in significant advantages during gameplay.
This bug surfaced shortly after Tracer’s introduction to the Stadium mode amidst the mid-Season 18 update, generating buzz given her role as a prominent character in the game. Fans could exploit this bug to acquire an almost infinite amount of Stadium cash, creating an unfair gameplay experience.
In her standard capacity, Tracer’s Recall ability enables her to revert to her health state from three seconds prior, which coupled with the glitches allowed players to drastically increase her health and armor. A player named Landia showcased this exploit, presenting a snapshot of Tracer boasting over 1600 health.
Blizzard may address this issue promptly, potentially restoring Tracer by September 19 or later. However, fans of Tracer could expect her absence to stretch beyond the weekend, especially with new characters set to join the roster in the upcoming Season 19 on October 14.
