Helldivers 2's Recent Bugs Force Arrowhead to Pause Gameplay for Debugging

Arrowhead Game Studios halts the Rupture strain in Helldivers 2 after new bugs disrupt gameplay, promising a return in five weeks after adjustments.

The recent update, Into the Unjust, introduced new Rupture strain enemies to Helldivers 2, but these burrowing bug enemies proved to be more lethal than expected, particularly to mission hosts.

Players quickly recognized the challenges posed by Rupture Warriors, which intensified frustrations as host players struggled to evade their attacks. Following feedback, Arrowhead attempted to mitigate the issue with a patch, but it failed to achieve the intended outcome, inadvertently making the enemies more aggressive for all players.

Acknowledging the persistent problems, Arrowhead announced a decision to take the Rupture strain offline at 6 PM CEST, indicating that it would undergo adjustments for a duration of five weeks. The improvements are expected to enhance gameplay balance when the enemies return.

Players can temporarily enjoy the game without the constant threat of these burrowing foes, but the studio assures that more refined versions of the Rupture strain will be back after the debugging period, returning the game’s challenge to its intended level.
