Gearbox Celebrates Loot Milestone with Free Items After Players Collect Over 750 Million

In the first week following the launch of Borderlands 4, players have successfully looted over 750 million items, including half a million from trash cans. In response, Gearbox has announced a special loot package called the Break Free Pack which includes various in-game rewards.

Randy Pitchford, CEO of Gearbox, highlighted the impressive statistics stating that players fought bosses 63 million times, achieving a 55 million kill count. To commemorate these milestones, Gearbox released a Shift code that grants players a vault hunter skin, a legendary ripper shield, and additional drone skins. The Shift code can be redeemed using JS63J-JSCWJ-CFTBW-3TJ3J-WJS5R.

Players are already exploring unique character builds, including those that allow for damage outputs that can defeat bosses in mere seconds. In fact, some players reported that they experienced technical issues but many found it humorous given the game’s chaotic nature. As per Gearbox’s data, players have managed to loot a variety of unique items from everywhere, including grilled items, outhouses, and more.

The rewards are confirmed to be available until December 31, 2030, allowing ample time for players to claim their loot.
