Logitech G Pro X2 Superstrike Introduces Haptic Feedback for Gaming Mouse

Logitech's upcoming G Pro X2 Superstrike boasts a unique haptic feedback system to enhance user experience while gaming.

Logitech has just announced a forthcoming gaming mouse set to launch early next year, featuring an industry-first innovation: analogue mouse clicks. The Logitech G Pro X2 Superstrike enables users to customize the mouse click’s actuation point or activate rapid trigger, akin to what is found in Hall effect or optical keyboards. However, instead of utilizing these technologies, it introduces the Haptic Inductive Trigger System (HITS).

Analog technologies like Hall effect and others have been incorporated in top-tier gaming keyboards, but not yet seen in mice. A major reason is that a click’s tactile feedback is crucial for users. The Superstrike technology solves this by enabling click feedback at any designated actuating point.

Logitech assures that this doesn’t entirely mimic a traditional microswitch but maintains the essence of a mouse click. Users can adjust haptic feedback intensity over five levels. They claim this innovation provides up to ten levels of actuation and five rapid trigger reset settings, potentially reducing click latency by 30 milliseconds.

Professional player Caps from G2 Esports remarked on the distinct difference in feel with this new mouse, stating it resembles the jump from public internet gaming to local area network gaming. Despite the focus on its technology, the mouse retains the lightweight, competitive attributes that gamers seek, with a weight of only 65 grams and a battery life of up to 90 hours.

Additionally, Logitech is rolling out a more compact version of its G Pro X Superlight, the G Pro X Superlight 2c, anticipated to launch on October 21 at a retail price of £159.99. The Superstrike, priced at $179.99/€179.99, promises to appeal to gamers wanting the latest in feedback technology.
