Dune: Awakening Patch to Address Persistent Inventory Issue on September 18
On September 18, Dune: Awakening will release a hotfix aimed at resolving a troublesome inventory bug that has led to invisible items occupying space in players’ inventories. Since its release on June 10, the game has faced ongoing issues; however, Funcom has been proactive in issuing fixes to maintain game stability.
The latest announcement follows Hotfix 3 for Patch 1.2.0.0, which not only tackled issues with various contracts in the game but also addressed the problematic inventory issue. At the time, the developers managed to identify the cause of the bug affecting players’ personal storage but asked those already impacted to wait for a future update. This upcoming hotfix seems poised to deliver a more permanent resolution.
On Twitter, the official Dune: Awakening account confirmed that the inventory bug fix will occur during a scheduled downtime from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM CEST on the designated day. Players are advised to clear their personal inventories to avoid any complications, although storage containers and vehicle space are unaffected.
Players have been trying various creative workarounds, such as changing sorting formats and utilizing the Respawn feature, in an attempt to resolve the storage problem.
Despite facing several bugs, Dune: Awakening has cultivated a loyal player base since its launch. The game’s recent expansions, particularly the Lost Harvest DLC and Chapter 2, aimed at rekindling interest and ensuring its long-term success.
