Infinite Damage Build Discovered in Borderlands 4 by Player

A player showcases an effective build utilizing Vex the Siren to achieve infinite damage, although players are advised to try it quickly before it gets patched.

A Borderlands 4 content creator revealed a video demonstrating how to utilize a specific throwing knife with Vex the Siren, along with her Bloodletter skill trait, to inflict considerable damage on any target. However, players interested in testing Vex’s infinite damage build must act swiftly, as Gearbox is likely to patch this soon.

The discovery followed a recent PC-exclusive content update for Borderlands 4, aimed at enhancing game performance. This update included a settings guide tailored for players with AMD or Nvidia graphics cards. Moreover, Borderlands 4 indicated that changes to graphical settings will necessitate recompiling the shader cache, which could take up to 15 minutes. Future fixes for Borderlands 4 will also be forthcoming.

Vex’s Capability for Incredible Damage with the Proper Setup

Though Borderlands 4 has concentrated on fixing performance bugs, an oversight regarding a specific build with Vex seemingly slipped through. YouTube content creator NickTew indicated that a particular setup enables Vex’s damage-over-time (DoT) effects to deliver guaranteed critical hits when hitting a target with a rare throwing knife equipped with the Penetrator Augment. This augment ensures all damage becomes automatic critical hits for five seconds, which includes bleeding damage. In addition, the augment synergizes with Vex’s Bloodletter talent in the Vexcalation skill tree, which offers critical hits a chance to deal additional kinetic damage via a stacking debuff. NickTew noted that this infinite damage build functions with low-level weapons and at Ultimate Vault Hunter Rank 5, potentially facilitating quicker farming for Legendary Loot in Borderlands 4.

NickTew demonstrated this build against a boss known as Primordial Guardian Inceptus, who was defeated in moments following two knife throws. However, he remarked that Vex’s infinite damage build does not operate in multiplayer, making it primarily a fun option for Borderlands 4’s solo players. Nevertheless, this potent combination of the Penetrator Augment knife and Bloodletter may likely be a mistake by the development team.

Given the frequent updates addressing bugs across all platforms, players looking to experiment with Vex’s infinite damage build might not have long before it is nerfed. It remains to be clarified when Gearbox will conduct its next adjustments.
