Fortnite’s latest addition, the Blitz Royale mode, has undergone a transformation into an Iron Man-themed experience for the weekend, complete with a new map and thematic items available for all players.

The revamped Stark Island configuration includes three notable locations inspired by the game’s previous collaboration with Iron Man in Chapter 2: Stark Industries, Stark Cabin, and Stark Academy, supplanting the standard Blitz Royale map. Players can expect the usual map to make a comeback shortly after this weekend.

At the start of each round, all players receive one flying item and one shooting item associated with Iron Man. Players can either utilize the War Machine’s Arsenal, which unleashes missile attacks in tandem with the War Machine’s Hover Jets, or wield the Stark Industries energy rifle, alongside the legendary Iron Man flight kit.

Epic Games aims to reinvigorate player participation, as engagement had declined since the mode’s debut in June. However, the introduction of the Iron Man-themed map has led to a surge in concurrent players, surpassing 100,000 for the first time since early September, marking a trend towards increased activity over the weekend.
