PUBG's Spin-off Game Project Arc Is Now Officially Named PUBG: Blindspot

The previously known Project Arc has undergone a name change and will have a demo available at the upcoming Steam Next Fest.

Introducing PUBG: Blindspot, the refreshing new title for the top-down tactical shooter previously referred to as Project Arc. A demo will be available for players during the Steam Next Fest on February 21.

PUBG: Blindspot is a 5v5 tactical shooter that draws inspiration from Rainbow Six Siege, according to PC Gamer’s Jake Tucker, who explored the game in November 2024. While it features a standard team deathmatch mode, a more engaging option known as the Demolition mode has been highlighted in the new trailer. In this mode, an attacking team selects a spawn point and aims to plant an object at one of the two objectives, facing off against a defending team that can set traps and fortify walls.

With a tactical focus, players cannot respawn once they perish in a round, emphasizing careful planning and teamwork. Tucker summarizes that Tactical shooters like PUBG: Blindspot provide a very immersive experience even if they stray from realism.

Despite its ties to the PUBG universe being minimal, Blindspot presents as an exciting option, especially for those who find traditional battle royales overwhelming. It’s touted as an accessible yet engaging tactical shooter. The demo on February 21 will allow players to experience the game ahead of its full release, which has yet to be scheduled.
