New Co-Op Game Coming to Nintendo Switch
POPUCOM, initially launched on PC in June 2025, is confirmed to be available on the Nintendo Switch this winter. Despite Nintendo’s release of the Switch 2 on June 5, the original 2017 Switch continues to receive various game releases, with POPUCOM being one of the highlighted titles.

Recently, a Nintendo Direct held on September 12 showcased multiple game announcements for fans. The direct, which ran for about 60 minutes, included significant announcements about upcoming games like Metroid Prime 4: Beyond and The Super Mario Galaxy Movie, and also featured third-party games drawing attention.
Release Window for POPUCOM on Switch
The September Nintendo Direct presented a trailer for POPUCOM, unveiling that the multiplayer co-op game is slated for a holiday 2025 release on the Switch. Developed by Hypergryph and published by Gryph Frontier, POPUCOM promises to delight platformer aficionados with its vibrant visuals and unique puzzle mechanics that involve color swapping.
As shown in the trailer, players must navigate through puzzles using different colors of Pomu gel, making for dynamic decision-making during gameplay. The game also offers unique abilities through super artifacts, alongside both two-player story and party modes accommodating up to four players.
Fans have praised POPUCOM on PC, where it holds a ‘Very Positive’ rating on Steam. Its appealing art style, reminiscent of Splatoon, positions it as an ideal fit for the Switch, further enhanced by its couch co-op feature, ensuring easy play with friends.
While waiting for the Switch version’s official price, POPUCOM is already available on Steam for $19.99 and the ‘Too Many Clothes Edition’ for $24.99, hinting that the Switch pricing might follow suit.
