Hyte Urges Thicc Q80 Trio Users to Cease Use and Request Refund After Fault Discovered

Customers are advised to stop using the Thicc Q80 Trio due to a malfunction that could lead to serious issues.

The Thicc Q80 Trio, dubbed the ‘raid boss of liquid coolers’, is now removed from the market, and all users are instructed to stop using them immediately and claim a refund. This directive comes from Hyte due to a fragile internal component that may suffer during transport.

This issue was highlighted following user reports of coolant leakage, leading to an analysis that revealed potentially fatal internal damage that remains unseen by end users but affects the cooler’s performance.

Hyte has mandated that users cease operation of the Thicc Q80 Trio AIO and remove it from their systems forthwith. Distribution and sales of the Q80 have been halted as well. Customers who directly purchased from Hyte will receive full refunds along with instructions for safe disposal of the AIO.

The Thicc Q60 cooler remains unaffected, as it employs a different design, thus there’s no need for its removal.

It’s uncertain whether the failing component in the Q80 Trio will be redesigned and relaunched or if this marks the end of this promising product line. While enhancing packaging for better security during transit might be an option, a major redesign could be required after such a significant error.

“Effective immediately, Hyte is directing all users to cease using the Thicc Q80 Trio AIO.”
