'This is an Xbox', Microsoft asserts as it looks to bring cloud gaming to cars

Microsoft continues to expand Xbox into various platforms, now integrating cloud gaming into selected vehicles featuring LG smart TVs.

Microsoft is pushing the Xbox platform into an array of devices, and now it’s eyeing automobiles. Not just any vehicle, but select internet-connected cars equipped with LG smart TVs. Xbox stated, “With the Xbox integrated into LG’s webOS Automotive Content Platform (ACP), passengers in internet-connected vehicles will be able to stream and play games directly from the Xbox app.”

ACP is part of a suite of entertainment solutions that now includes Xbox game streaming. This means that if you are in a lucky vehicle with smart TVs in the back, passengers will soon be able to play Xbox Game Pass games.

With the integration of the Xbox app, Microsoft is set on creating a seamless gaming experience across platforms, illustrating its commitment to making Xbox a comprehensive and accessible service.

Additionally, this move could see Xbox services marketed as not only for PC/Xbox consoles or Game Pass but also as part of the Xbox Cloud gaming ecosystem, broadening how gaming is experienced in modern technology and transport.
