Hi-Rez Studios has announced a significant shift in its operations, focusing its efforts on Smite 2 while only providing “minor updates” to its existing titles Smite and Paladins. President Stewart Chisam later confirmed the layoffs, citing difficult decisions necessary for the company’s survival in the current gaming market.
“We understand this may come as a disappointment to many of you, but know that Paladins has an incredibly special place in our hearts. We plan to keep the servers and currently available content running as long as possible to allow you to continue to enjoy the game.”
