Bayonetta Director Challenges Kojima Over PT

Hideki Kamiya, famous for his work on the Bayonetta series, has once again drawn attention to PT, the unforgettable silent horror experience that was abandoned by Konami. In a recent dialogue, he suggested that if PT cannot be revived, perhaps he could undertake creating a game inspired by its essence.

Kamiya expressed, ‘If it’s impossible to resurrect PT, Kojima should make a new game in the same style… If Kojima doesn’t do it, maybe I’ll give it a go.’ Despite his known aversion to horror games, his passion for the genre reflects his commitment to innovation.

He elaborated, stating, ‘I hate horror though, so it wouldn’t be horror… plus, I have no ideas.’ This thought-provoking statement highlights the unique challenges in creating a game that resonates with the legacy of PT.

It remains to be seen if either Kamiya or Kojima will deliver a fresh take on this legendary title, but fans around the world are certainly hopeful.
