Battlefield 2042: Quick Tier Progression Available in New Update, with Conditions
New update for Battlefield 2042 enables quicker completion of the Battlefield 6 Battle Pass, but comes with a significant catch.
Battlefield 2042 players can now unlock rewards from the Road to Battlefield 6 Battle Pass much quicker, as EA publishes a new update that allows players to pay for tier skips. The Battlefield 6-themed Battle Pass is completely free for all Battlefield 2042 owners, but the rate at which tiers are earned has caused a huge amount of controversy since its release last month. The addition of tier skips marks EA’s second adjustment to speed up player progress.
Battlefield 2042 Gameplay
Although Battlefield 2042 had a problematic launch in 2021, players are returning to the shooter with excitement for Battlefield 6, set to release soon. EA’s new Battle Pass offers rewards from this upcoming game, launched alongside a surprise update in August coinciding with the end of the Battlefield 6 open beta.
New Battlefield 2042 Update Enhances Tier Skipping
The fresh update also activates tier skips for the Battlefield 6 Battle Pass, which comprises 30 rewards. EA has attempted to make progress smoother by increasing the frequency of Double and Triple XP weekends in Battlefield 2042. However, recent announcements about purchasing tier skips have brought mixed reactions, with some players feeling it undermines others’ efforts to grind legitimately.
Charging into Battle
With Battlefield 6 poised for success, many fans eagerly await its release this October. As of late, player numbers for Battlefield 2042 have even surpassed those for Call of Duty on Steam, indicating a resurgence in interest leading up to this year’s significant competitive landscape, especially with Black Ops 7 arriving shortly thereafter.
