MachineGames Hints at Another Wolfenstein Game Following Indiana Jones
MachineGames expresses interest in developing a sequel to their acclaimed Wolfenstein series, envisioning it as part of a trilogy.
At the end of the second episode of Noclip’s video series on MachineGames, studio head Jerk Gustafsson dropped an intriguing update. The developers expressed a strong desire to create a direct sequel to Wolfenstein: The New Colossus, released in 2017. Gustafsson noted, “We have always seen this as a trilogy,” emphasizing the planned trajectory for BJ’s story from the initial planning stages at id Software.
“I think that’s important to say, because—at least I hope—we’re not done with Wolfenstein yet. We have a story to tell.”
This statement raises exciting prospects for fans who have maintained interest in the series. However, any follow-up may need to navigate intricate narrative logistics, given the story arcs concluded in previous entries and the timelines explored in the spinoff game, Youngblood. Ultimately, it seems fans may need to wait a while, as MachineGames only recently released Indiana Jones: The Great Circle’s story DLC, The Order of Giants.
