A trusted data miner has suggested that the nighttime version of Rebirth Island may soon return to Call of Duty: Warzone with the update for Season 6. Although a specific release date for Season 6 remains unconfirmed, it is anticipated to be available for both Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 and Warzone by early to mid-October. This update could mark the final season for Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 before the launch of Black Ops 7 on November 14.
As we have seen, many maps have appeared and disappeared from Call of Duty: Warzone since its 2020 debut, but few have resonated as strongly as Rebirth Island and Verdansk. Rebirth Island, smaller and designed for fast-paced Resurgence gameplay, quickly secured its place among fan favorites, despite the introduction of several others including Fortune’s Keep, Ashika Island, and Area 99.
In 2021, Activision debuted a nighttime variant of Rebirth Island, which was last featured during the Destruction of Verdansk event. Now, the source RealityUK claims this popular variant is set to return during the Season 6 update. A recent tweet from the leaker mentioned: “Seems Rebirth Night will be returning with Season 6.” While more details remain elusive, it appears the variant might have already been integrated into the game’s code.
Currently, Rebirth Island is the single Resurgence map available in Call of Duty: Warzone, but that may soon change with the impending release of Black Ops 7 Season 1, according to industry insider TheGhostOfHope. Fans are hoping for news of a new Resurgence map with elements from various Black Ops 6 Zombies maps when the first update arrives.
Call of Duty: Warzone players can expect numerous significant changes with the upcoming Black Ops 7 Season 1, including the introduction of fresh weapons and features. Although the next installment might not feature jetpacks as previously speculated, an updated movement system with double jumps is confirmed, along with adjustments to the previously controversial tactical sprint feature. The exact timing for the start of Season 1 is still uncertain, although Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 is confirmed to launch on November 14.
