Performance Details of Marvel Rivals on PS4 Released

The performance specifications for Marvel Rivals on PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 4 Pro have been revealed, highlighting crucial details about gameplay on older consoles.

The development team for Marvel Rivals has announced how the game will operate on the PlayStation 4 and PS4 Pro, delivering some unexpected results. NetEase Games has been busy ensuring that Marvel Rivals functions well on older hardware. Although it won’t match the performance of newer consoles or high-end PCs, the developers are committed to enhancing the game’s performance across all platforms.

Marvel Rivals was launched in December 2024, delivering a competitive multiplayer experience for fans where players control notable Marvel characters. Initially, the game was available exclusively for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC, leaving those with older console models disappointed.

Performance Specifications on PlayStation 4

Platform Resolution Framerate Storage
PlayStation 4 1080p 30 fps 40 GB
PlayStation 4 Pro 1440p 60 fps 40 GB

Recently, NetEase confirmed that Marvel Rivals will be released on PlayStation 4 on September 12, offering minimal time for players to prepare. The specifications announced detail the expected performance, but some data is yet to be officially verified. The standard PS4 will run the game at 30 frames per second and 1080p resolution.

In contrast, the PS4 Pro will achieve a smoother performance with 60 fps at 1440p. These specifications align closely with the performance of Marvel Rivals on PlayStation 5. Both legacy consoles will require 40 GB of available storage to install the game.

The timing of the PS4 release coincides with the beginning of the game’s fourth season, which introduces new content including the hero Angela, a new event, and more gameplay modes. Players can look forward to additional surprises scheduled within Season 4.
