A newly launched Hollow Knight: Silksong mod mitigates damage from most enemies, addressing a significant concern voiced by fans. The mod effectively curtails enemy damage, minimizing one of the most prominent criticisms regarding the game’s difficulty.
The highly awaited sequel was officially released on September 4. When compared to the original game thus far, Silksong presents a steep difficulty curve, with numerous players reporting challenges in the opening hours, not due to a lack of direction but rather the difficulty of bosses and mobs.
New Mod Reduces Enemy Damage
The mod is noted for neutralizing hits from enemies and regular bosses that previously dealt two masks of damage to Hornet. Dubbed No Double Damage, this mod developed by a Nexus Mods user named Baiker was made public the day after the game’s release.
Moreover, the author emphasizes that environmental hazards and certain attacks can still deal double damage, which further complicates the experience despite the modifications introduced by this new add-on.
