The difference? Night and day.
When I wake up in the morning, the bright white of a rogue app often jolts me awake, and I can barely adjust my eyes. Thankfully, an upcoming feature in the PowerToys utility aims to prevent this jarring experience by allowing users to schedule light and dark mode shifts in Windows 11.
For those unfamiliar, PowerToys is a utility for Windows enthusiasts. As noted in the PowerToys 0.94 update blog, a future update will enable the automatic switch between the two modes according to user-defined schedules.
Currently, changing to dark mode requires navigating to settings under personalization, then colors. This new feature coming soon will enhance user experience significantly.
