A major update for Helldivers 2 has launched, yet it seems to have attracted more issues than expected. The Into the Unjust update immerses players in Terminid strongholds, challenging them in hazardous cave systems guarded by acid-spitting bug dragons.
However, players are struggling with notable framerate drops and frequent crashes. Some users reported trying cave expeditions only to find themselves respawning in lethal spots, leading to inevitable deaths.
In light of this, Arrowhead CEO Shams Jorjani took to Discord to address the mounting complaints. He acknowledged the existence of “technical debt” in the game, which has accumulated over time.
Jorjani stated:
“We’ve been lax in setting standards for what’s acceptable.”
While this technical situation might seem bleak, Jorjani reassured fans that measures are underway to address the immediate concerns. Despite this, he admitted that the technical debt is a significant burden and highlighted the need for comprehensive solutions post-Xbox release.
