Leak Unveils New 5-Star Character Nefer for Genshin Impact Version 6.1
A reliable leak from the Genshin Impact community indicates that Version 6.1 will debut Nefer, a 5-Star Dendro Catalyst. Her abilities are expected to significantly change the dynamics of Dendro Cores.
The currently ongoing Nod-Krai era hasn’t started fully yet, but Genshin Impact is already preparing for Lunar Reactions, an essential combat feature of the new area. The introduction of Lunar-Charged with Ineffa in Version 5.8 sets the stage for further developments in Version 6.0, which brings in Lunar-Bloom along with Lauma.
Nefer’s Role in Genshin Impact
As a Dendro Catalyst, Nefer is designed to enhance either Lunar-Bloom for Nod-Krai teams or boost Bloom for Dendro groups. This positions her as an essential support character and a perfect match for strong characters like Nilou, Neuvillette, and the anticipated Nefer.
According to the reputable source Uncle Kokomi, Nefer will have a strong emphasis on the Lunar-Bloom reaction. This unique focus differentiates her from Lauma, making her a specialized hypercarry. Lauma can either work with Nefer to enhance her damage or assist older hypercarries as the primary Nod-Krai agent.
Important Gameplay Change
A critical detail about Nefer’s skill set is that she will inhibit the formation of Dendro Cores, limiting her compatibility with Bloom, Burgeon, and Hyperbloom teams. Similar to Lauma, she will gather Verdant Dews through triggering Bloom, utilizing them with her Elemental Skill. This mechanic appears to redefine the Lunar-Bloom from the classic Bloom, shifting it from an AoE reaction to a Single Target reaction.
If the character release roadmap is accurate, Nefer is expected to be the only new character for Version 6.1. Players should accumulate enough Primogems during Version 6.0 and, after possibly skipping the Sumeru Chronicled Banner, may secure Nefer with Intertwined Wishes.
