New Spider-Man Cards Featuring the Green Goblin Unveiled in Magic: The Gathering
Magic: The Gathering showcases three new cards themed around Spider-Man's iconic villain, the Green Goblin, enhancing gameplay with familiar elements from the Spider-Man universe.
Recently, Magic: The Gathering announced three new cards inspired by the Green Goblin from the Spider-Man series. These cards, named Pumpkin Bombardment, Rocket-Powered Goblin Glider, and Oscorp Industries, integrate elements of the notorious villains’ arsenal into gameplay. Players now have the opportunity to include these iconic items into their decks to unleash chaos and destruction.
Over recent years, Magic: The Gathering has branched into various universes, including Doctor Who, Transformers, Dungeons and Dragons, and Final Fantasy. The upcoming set, titled Marvel’s Spider-Man, marks the addition of this beloved superhero and his antagonists into the game, making it the 107th card set.

The set introduces four distinct incarnations of the Green Goblin, featuring Norman Osborn who assumes the classic Green Goblin form, along with variants such as Green Goblin, Nemesis, Ultimate Green Goblin, and Green Goblin, Revenant. Each of these includes the Mayhem keyword, allowing players to utilize cards from the graveyard if they were discarded on the same turn.
This synergy could potentially create a robust deck, particularly when paired with existing goblin cards from Magic: The Gathering.
Notably, the Death of Gwen Stacy card has also recently been highlighted, illustrating a profoundly emotional scene from the Spider-Man saga. The Friendly Neighborhood Aura Enchantment and Villainous Wrath Sorcery cards round out this announcement, capturing pivotal moments from the comic series.
Marvel’s Spider-Man is scheduled for its official rollout in Magic: The Gathering on September 26, with several more cards set to be unveiled shortly before this release.
