Rumored Release of Marvel Rivals on PS4 Approaching
It seems that Marvel Rivals could soon make its way to the PlayStation 4. According to rumors circulating from a leak, the files for the game have already been uploaded to Sony’s servers, hinting that it might align with the release of Season 4, expected around mid-September.
However, confirmation from the game’s developer, NetEase Games, is still pending on whether this port will actually happen. Rumors are suggesting that a file titled Marvel Rivals version 01.01 was added to the servers, indicating exciting prospects for fans eager for a new platform release.
Marvel Rivals has already gained a strong following since it debuted, but bringing it to the PS4—which sold over 117 million units—could significantly boost its player base, especially given its declining numbers on Steam which reportedly decreased by around 86% since its peak.
As we await further news, it remains to be seen how effectively the game could run on the older system, given its development with Unreal Engine 5, which has faced criticism for performance issues.
