A Reddit user named Naoness recently expressed heartbreak after their limited edition Baldur’s Gate 3 vinyl melted due to exposure to direct sunlight. This unfortunate event, highlighted in a video post, sparked memes referencing Astarion’s famous quote about the sun.

In a surprising turn of events, Naoness later shared an update on the BG3 subreddit, revealing that Larian Studios reached out after learning about the mishap and sent a replacement vinyl along with some collectible pins. Naoness remarked, “I honestly can’t thank Larian enough. You’ve already given us one of the best games ever made, and now this kindness on top of it. It really means a lot!”

Naoness plans to keep the original melted vinyl as a memento and hopes to have it signed by Neil Newbon, Astarion’s voice actor.

This act of goodwill comes shortly on the heels of Larian’s recent expansions to the mod toolkit for Baldur’s Gate 3, reinforcing their commitment to community support.
