On August 31, Pokémon Scarlet and Violet initiated the final Shiny Treasure of Ruin Tera Raid and Mass Outbreak events, introducing Shiny Chi-Yu as a new challenge for trainers. Players have until September 14 to face off against Shiny Chi-Yu and search for Mass Outbreaks of Pokémon such as Vulpix and Numel.
Shiny Chi-Yu
Known as the Ruinous Pokémon, Chi-Yu is part of the Treasures of Ruin, a set of Legendary Pokémon within the Paldea region. Since the Pokémon Presents episode on July 22, players have had the opportunity to battle Shiny variants like Ting-Lu in Five-Star raids. To catch Shiny Chi-Yu, trainers must collectively defeat it one million times, then it becomes available as a Mystery Gift until September 30.
Trainers Must Prepare for Final Tera Raid
To effectively take on Shiny Chi-Yu, trainers should be ready. According to Serebii.net, it will utilize moves like Ruination, Heat Wave, Flamethrower, Snarl, and Dark Pulse. Additionally, Shiny Chi-Yu has high special attack and defense stats but is vulnerable to aquatic attacks due to its reliance on Dark and Fire moves. It is recommended that trainers utilize powerful Water Pokémon, such as Azumarill, Kyogre, and Walking Wake, as Shiny Chi-Yu is set to level 75.
While players prepare, a Mass Outbreak event featuring Charcadet, Vulpix, and Numel will also be happening until September 14. These Pokémon will have increased shiny encounter rates for those looking to add new members to their team.
