No More Room in Hell 2 Postponed to 2026, Confirms Child Zombies Exclusion

The cooperative zombie survival game No More Room in Hell 2 will now release in 2026, opting not to include child zombies due to potential backlash.

Torn Banner has officially postponed the launch of No More Room in Hell 2, the cooperative zombie survival game that entered early access last October. Initially set to release exactly one year later, it will now launch in the first half of 2026.

According to a recent Steam post by Torn Banner, this delay aims to ensure the 1.0 version is up to their quality standards. “Given the state of the game, community input, and our ambitions for it, we’ve realized we won’t meet the October deadline,” the studio noted.

They emphasized, “We still have a mountain of work that we want to fit into the game before its full launch.”

The development team will shift focus from introducing large features to fine-tuning existing elements of the game. They affirmed that child zombies will not be included in this sequel, reflecting concerns about potential controversy affecting the game’s market reach. Torn Banner stated, “Our top priority is ensuring the long-term success of No More Room in Hell 2, and including child zombies would jeopardize that.”

In addition to adjustments in gameplay, players can expect several new features, including a faster-paced game mode and at least two new maps. As Torn Banner prepares for the full launch, they aim to enhance aspects such as difficulty balancing, enemy spawning mechanics, and overall performance.
