Sony Accidentally Reveals Release Date for Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater

Sony appears to have inadvertently disclosed the release date for the highly anticipated Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater.

It seems that Sony has inadvertently uploaded a release date trailer for the upcoming Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater on its digital storefront without any prior announcement. This game is a remake of the classic Metal Gear Solid 3, expected to be released on August 28, 2025, barring any delays.

Although the trailer only features the PS5 logo, it’s likely that it will also come to PC players.

Fans might recall that this release pushes the game past its initially suggested window of 2024. The trailer includes iconic scenes: crucial close-quarters combat, Ocelot pursuing Snake, and flashbacks of pivotal moments from the series.

Interestingly, the ending of the trailer hints at the return of a mode featuring a cheeky monkey, reminiscent of the Snake vs Monkey segment from the classic PS2 version of MGS3, which did not appear in later releases. Many hope this humorous addition might be the reason for the game’s delay.

Notably, with the recent MGS3 HD edition and its upgrades, fans may question the necessity of a full remake, yet the excitement remains high as players anticipate what could be a faithful recreation of a beloved classic.
