Leaks are commonplace in the development of video games, but recently, Riot Games experienced an amusing slip when an unannounced character for their upcoming title 2XKO appeared on their support page.

According to reports, a large robot named Blitzcrank was showcased as part of the support site’s visuals, with the art style aligning perfectly with the game’s aesthetic. Speculation quickly circulated on social media, prompting the creative team to replace the graphic with one of Jinx.
Fortunately, 2XKO’s Editor-in-Chief, Ben Forbes, humorously acknowledged the mishap, referencing the Street Fighter account’s remark about unwanted reveals from developers. After the mistake, Riot issued a statement announcing: “Oopsie!” while confirming that Blitzcrank would indeed be an available champion in their upcoming closed beta, set for full reveal on September 2.
I appreciate Riot’s light-hearted approach to what could have been a significant blunder. As Blitzcrank is now slated to be part of the launch roster, this amusing error may turn out to be merely an early teaser.
