When it comes to skaters, all eyes are on September 16, 2025, as EA’s Skate reboot rolls into early access. According to Executive Producer Mike McCartney, this release marks not just a comeback but a total transformation of the classic franchise. He shared, “Skate is not just a return, it’s a complete evolution of the franchise that’s built to last.”
“Our goal with Skate is to capture the freedom, creative expression and community of skateboarding, and share it with as many people as possible.”
Set in the sprawling realm of San Vansterdam, players can explore four diverse neighborhoods that each hold unique vibes and challenges. With competitive and co-op multiplayer features, cross-platform capabilities, and an extensive array of customizable options, the new Skate aims to revive the skate culture for a new generation.
Jeff Seamster, the Head of Creative, emphasized the focus on community engagement, stating:
“From day one, we’ve aimed to create an open, welcoming space shaped by players. We’ve built this game alongside our community—listening, learning, and evolving together.”
Skate will be featured on both Steam and the Epic Games Store.
