Exciting Updates for Haunted Chocolatier: Fishing and New Visuals Revealed
The highly anticipated game Haunted Chocolatier will feature fishing mechanics, along with a beautifully detailed screenshot showcased by its creator.
Every few weeks, my daughter asks if Haunted Chocolatier has been released. While I have to say no each time, now I can confirm the game will include fishing mechanics and present a stunning new screenshot shared by Eric “ConcernedApe” Barone.

The beautiful pixel art, particularly on the charming tree house, is truly a sight to behold. Eric revealed the fishing feature following a fan’s inquiry about the fishing mechanic after they noticed water in the new screenshot. “There is fishing,” he confirmed.
This news will be a delight for fans who enjoy fishing in games, but there is a caveat. The fishing minigame in Stardew Valley received mixed reviews due to its challenging nature. During a recent interview, Barone expressed some regret over how it ‘starts out too hard’, so perhaps the fishing in Haunted Chocolatier will improve upon that
Barone is actively working on Haunted Chocolatier, which doesn’t have a release date yet. He recently exclaimed on Twitter that instead of writing a long essay on philosophical topics, he’ll simply add a new book to Haunted Chocolatier’s library, a win-win situation. The inclusion of books has also been confirmed!
Whereas Stardew Valley concentrated on the “fundamentals of human sustenance,” Haunted Chocolatier will delve into “what’s next.” Barone aims to fully immerse himself in this new title following the launch of Stardew Valley 1.6.
