Upcoming Updates in Helldivers 2

Are you ready to delve into the depths of the insect lairs? Helldivers 2 is preparing for a significant update set to land on September 2. This patch will allow players to explore the intimidating nests of the Terminids, expanding the gameplay mechanics dramatically.

Arrowhead Games has highlighted the new features – players will be able to engage in deeper tactics and strategize effectively before embarking on their quests into treacherous environments. Expect expansive underground tunnel systems where gathering resources will be crucial, while unexpected enemy types like Burrowers will seek to thwart players’ progress.

“We wanted to really turn the game on its head and see what happens when we put four Helldivers underground… You have to really plan before you go in to get all of your weaponry, ‘cause there’s no help from your Super Destroyer once you’re in the caves,” explained level designer Chris Brettman.

In addition to the new territories, players will receive updates to their arsenal, including the Dust Devils Warbond, featuring an array of incendiary and explosive weapon options.
