Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 Will Not Include Carry Forward Functionality

Activision announces the discontinuation of the Carry Forward feature for Call of Duty: Black Ops 7, emphasizing authenticity.

Activision has announced that the Carry Forward feature will not be available in the upcoming Call of Duty: Black Ops 7. The game is scheduled for release on November 14 and aims to stay true to the series. Players can expect features like story campaigns, online multiplayer, and Zombies as usual.

Despite the anticipation, the reveal hasn’t gone smoothly, with the campaign trailer receiving numerous dislikes. Fans are concerned about the inclusion of cosmetic elements from previous games that may not align with the tone of the series. Activision has also confirmed that operator content from Black Ops 6 will not transition to Black Ops 7, although in-game tokens will carry over.

Attention to Aesthetic

Activision emphasized that Black Ops 7 needs to resonate with the essence of Call of Duty and its environment. As a result, no skins or weapons from Black Ops 6 will be included in the new title. Activision assured fans that the game will better reflect the core gameplay experience.

Addressing Game Integrity

In response to ongoing cheating problems within the series, Black Ops 7 will require players on PC to enable Secure Boot and TPM 2.0 to ensure security against cheats.

The beta access begins on October 2, followed by an open beta available for all players starting on October 5. More information about multiplayer features and Zombies will be revealed on September 30.
