Ubisoft's CEO Ordered to Appear in French Court Amid Harassment Scandal
Yves Guillemot, CEO of Ubisoft, has been summoned to testify in a French court regarding workplace harassment issues that led to convictions of former executives.
Ubisoft’s CEO, Yves Guillemot, has been called to testify in a French court regarding a harassment case that recently resulted in the convictions of three former executives. In the previous trial, Serge Hascoët, Tommy François, and Guillaume Patrux were found guilty of workplace harassment, receiving fines and suspended sentences. The charges included sexual misconduct and bullying, prompting their resignations or dismissals from the company in 2020.
The trade union Solidaires Informatique, alongside four other individuals involved in the original case, has issued a summons for Guillemot to appear at the Brobigny District Court on October 1. Despite the serious allegations, Ubisoft has asserted that the French court found no grounds to pursue criminal charges against the company or its leadership, reaffirming their commitment to cooperate with the legal proceedings surrounding this matter.
Ubisoft reaffirmed that they prioritize the safety and integrity of all employees through strict policies against harassment and discrimination.
