Borderlands 4 Features Emotional Moments With Claptrap That Pack a Punch
Gearbox reveals a deeper side to Claptrap in Borderlands 4, introducing emotional moments that differ from the typical humor.
Will I finally feel bad for bullying Claptrap?
Gearbox has asserted that Borderlands 4 will feature an emotional moment with the beloved robot, Claptrap. This entry aims to deliver a more grounded comedy approach than its predecessor, Borderlands 3, which often leaned too heavily on pop culture references.
In connection with my preview, I noticed a lack of Claptrap initially; however, the narrative director, Sam Winkler, along with lead writer Taylor Clark, and managing director Lin Joyce have emphasized a new depth to Claptrap’s character and comedic situations in this sequel.
“For the first time, I think, we get real character depth with Claptrap, of all people. One of my favorite missions in the game is an emotional moment with Claptrap that really hits hard, so I’m personally very happy with where we landed.”
“Por la primera vez, creo que obtendremos una verdadera profundidad de carácter con Claptrap, de todos. Una de mis misiones favoritas en el juego es un momento emocional con Claptrap que realmente impacta, así que personalmente estoy muy feliz con donde hemos aterrizado.”
With the release set for September 12, gamers might find themselves reflecting on their past interactions with Claptrap, feeling a new sense of empathy towards the mischievous little robot.
