In a recent Twitter session, Dusk Golem very briefly engaged with fans, confirming that the Code: Veronica remake is progressing faster than planned. He also noted a delay in the Resident Evil Zero remake, linked to a significant development transformation that took place in late 2024.
Changes to Characters
The remake aims to present the character Steve Burnside in a more favorable light, with his affection for Claire depicted as more innocent, shifting away from his originally inappropriate behavior.
Enhancements in Gameplay
Additionally, Rockfort Island will transition into a semi-open world design, and the character Wesker will play a substantially more prominent role, moving closer to him being an integral story feature. Chris is expected to face Wesker in an actual boss battle instead of a mere cutscene predicament.
Overall, this wealth of information became public shortly after it was reported that the Code: Veronica remake’s budget is nearly on par with that of the highly successful Resident Evil 4 remake.
