CloverPit Delayed as Hollow Knight: Silksong Release Approaches
The launch of CloverPit has been postponed to avoid clashing with the highly anticipated Hollow Knight: Silksong, which is set for release on September 4, 2025.
CloverPit has pushed back its release date due to the impending launch of Hollow Knight: Silksong. This long-awaited follow-up to the 2017 title finally has a release date established by Team Cherry after considerable fan curiosity.
Due to the heightened expectations surrounding it, other developers are opting not to schedule their games close to September 4, which is when Team Cherry is set to release the eagerly awaited game. For instance, Talegames delayed Faeland, an RPG inspired by classic 8-bit titles, which was originally supposed to be released shortly after Silksong. They mentioned the decision was made so that the game could gather “the attention and care it deserves.”
Panik Arcade has confirmed that they will now launch CloverPit on September 26. The decision was primarily to ensure it wouldn’t be overshadowed by the hype surrounding Hollow Knight: Silksong, which is due to launch on September 3. This plan allows the developers to enhance CloverPit with the added time and still aims for player support on launch day.
While players await Hollow Knight: Silksong, centered around Hornet, who battles over 200 enemies in a new kingdom while utilizing fresh weapons, traps, and combos, they will meet new NPCs and enjoy beautiful 2D graphics. The soundtrack for the game, much like its predecessor, is being crafted by the renowned Christopher Larkin.
