Gears of War: Reloaded Launch Day Update
Gears of War: Reloaded has unveiled its patch notes for the initial update set to go live with the game’s release on August 26. The Coalition states the update derives from both technical assessments and player feedback gathered during the recent multiplayer beta.
Gears of War: Reloaded
The Gears of War series attempts to bring back the classic 2006 third-person shooter and adapt it for contemporary gamers. With the first remastered edition, Gears of War: Ultimate Edition, having launched a decade ago, The Coalition is now revamping the gaming experience with an essential distinction: Gears of War: Reloaded will debut on PlayStation 5 for the first time, breaking previous console exclusivity barriers.
As the launch approaches, the developers have shared notable improvements based on the feedback from the multiplayer beta. Key enhancements include:
- Clear identification of the platforms fellow players are using.
- Easier methods to invite friends to join games across different platforms.
- General matchmaking optimizations with enhanced dedicated servers and improved online services.
- The iconic Gnasher shotgun will receive adjustments, such as tighter spread and augmented damage.
Next month’s update promises substantial enhancements particularly for PC gamers, featuring a 240 FPS setting, push-to-talk support for voice chat, and better ultrawide monitor compatibility. It also boasts optimizations for improved performance across various setups, including Steam Deck and ROG devices.
This update serves as a great starting point for newcomers on the PlayStation and a nostalgic reboot for veterans excited about the franchise’s expansion.
