As my playtime in Baldur’s Gate 3 extended beyond 480 hours with a solo druid build, I began to feel repetitive patterns in gameplay. Despite the addition of over 50 mods for new experiences, I found myself nearing burnout.
Just as I was about to uninstall, I explored the modding community once more, where I discovered a mod that introduced guns—a lot of guns! With this addition, I transformed into a sharpshooting angel of death, obliterating my enemies.
Discovering the Vintage Firearms Pack
The transforming mod is the Vintage Firearms Pack by Skirbie, available in-game as well.
The pack includes various guns, from muskets to rifles and pistols, offering unique actions and abilities such as the ability to push back enemies and damage all foes in a line. Using it, my character, a Gloom Stalker ranger, can unleash devastating attacks, significantly accelerating my gameplay progression.
While the mod enhances the experience, it also makes the game considerably easier, allowing powerful attacks that can one-shot weaker foes and deal massive damage to stronger enemies.
In conclusion, this mod has invigorated my gameplay, reminding me how enjoyable it can be to shake things up even in a beloved title like Baldur’s Gate 3.
